The installation reflects a personal and intense experience of sensing one’s (woman’s) body. Long and painful period forced me to paint and analyze the nature of my menstrual cycle. As I created, I began to notice the similarities between a woman’s body and nature — the cyclicality — that exists in both. Birth and death. Ovulation and bleeding. Day and night. Waking up and falling asleep. Spring and winter. Womb-reminding organ-like installation living in the gallery space symbolizes an endless cycle and holds every (female) experience from tenderness to violence.
