In the autumn of 2020, the Department of Cultural Heritage and Conservation of the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) received an internship offer from the Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia (EKKM). The aim of the internship was to review the works accumulated in the collection during the history of the museum, to assess their condition and to systematize the museum’s collection.

This bachelor’s thesis is based on practical work done in cooperation with the leaders of EKKM and aims to describe the conservation and archiving activities carried out. The thesis explains the general condition of the collection, how the work was documented and what work was done to preserve the collection.
