  • Architectural Vision for the Further Development of the National Digital Twin - Specification

This thesis focuses on the analysis, specification and prototyping of the architectural component of the Estonian national digital twin. Estonia’s aim is to make the national digital twin a part of the AEC workflow, which should help designers do their job faster and more accurate. Currently they are looking for potential uses for the digital twin.

This means architects have the opportunity to have a say in the development of the digital twin and provide insight into the needs of designers. This is exactly what my master thesis focuses on – analysing, specifying and prototyping the architectural part of the Estonian digital twin. The aim of my thesis is to create an understanding of what parts of the built environment are important and necessary for architects, and to highlight any missing datasets that could be part of the digital twin. What is the digital twin useful for architectural discourse and what are its potential uses?
