My graduation project focuses on the history and development of workshops in the department of Graphic Design. Looking back on my studies, I can say that one of my favourite forms of study was the format of a weeklong workshop. Conducted by professionals from Estonia and abroad, this format provided an opportunity to find quick and varied methods for approaching different outcomes. This publication gives an overview of some of the more memorable workshops and explores the role of the workshop format in design education. The publication highlights twenty-two workshops from the graphic design department that took place between 2008 and 2022 and includes many interviews with workshops supervisors and alumni.
